caught off the coast of Cork, Waterford and Wexford by creel.
keep stored in lobster box within your fridge. eat within 2-3 days.
our native Irish blue lobster is a real gem from our coastal waters. traditionally caught from March to early October. it is the mainstay of many small vessels across the Irish fishing community.
caught in creels, this fishing method has a low impact on the environment and is very selective, thereby greatly limiting the by-catch of other species. creel caught lobsters are generally between 4 to 8 years old but can be 20 years and sometimes grow as old as 50 years.
