Pineapple, honey, walnut and cooking spice
Not a lot of people realise that Georgia is one of the first countries to make wine over 8,000 years ago using clay qvevri eggs, a method still being used today. Skin contact is on trend at the moment but isn’t a new technic. Again, the Georgians were doing this many moons ago. Skin contact, or orange wine, is when white wine is made in the same way as red wine – leaving the juice in contact with the skins for a certain period of time. As for this 100% Mtsvane, it is on the skins for 2 months. This gives the wine a deep, amber and cloudy appearance. I would crack this one with a few friends and admire its uniqueness.
