Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta
Strawberry, clove, violet, cherry and some sourness
Located in Castelroto, in the hills of Verona, Alesandra and Carlo Venturini restored derelict ancient vineyards back to their former glory. Planted on limestone and form a natural amphitheatre facing southeast towards the city. The vines are planted in the original area of Valpolicella, hence the name Classico. The Venturinis practice biodynamic farming religiously. Each of their wines are a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta. The Saseti is unfiltered and unfined. It is a great lunchtime wine - it is light to medium bodied with loads of red fruit character and perfect after 20 minutes in the fridge.
