North of the Ebro River is Rioja Alavesa. This is where Santiago Norzagarai makes fresh, fruit-forward and Atlantic-influenced Rioja using old oak. The winery have been practicing organically since 1999 and have an average vineyard age of 40 years on calcareous clay loam soil. This isn't your old school, big and oaky style of Rioja. This modern take on Tempranillo has elegance and finesse.
