Bright, fresh, clean with loads of strawberry and blackberry character
Established in 1999 by Fausto Albanese and Adriana Galasso when they began to cultivate Montepulciano vines planted in 1972 by Adriana’s grandfather, Rocco. In 2004, they bought 8 hectares and planted Trebbiano and Pecorino. They now own 21ha located 25km from the Adriatic Sea near the mountain range of Gran Sasso d’Italia. The name of the estate comes from a large 14th century fresco painting, found in the local church of Saint Maria in Piano, meaning “Tower of the Blessed”. The Montepulcino is the estate's entry level Montepulciano, hence "cino" meaning baby chick.
