Located in Le Grès, in the northern end of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the Domaine was established in 1905 as a vineyard that sold to negotiants. They started to make their own wine in the 1960’s when Maxine Daumen took over. Jean-Paul Daumen took over from his father in 1990. The average age of the vines is 60 years over the 32 hectares, which are farmed biodynamically. This is a modern approach to Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Small oak barrels replaced large foudres.
