based in Hautvillers in the heart of Champagne, Maison JM Gobillard is a family run winery with 25 hectares mainly made up of premier cru vineyards. dominating Hautvillers' vineyards is the abbey where monk cellar master Dom Pérignon produced some of the first Champagne bubbles in 1681.
Gobillard 1er Cru Brut is made up of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grown on premier cru slopes between Hautvillers, Cumières and Dizy. it is aged for 3 years in the cellar before release, double the minimum requirement of 15 months for any Champagne. this results in a delicate, elegant raspberry and strawberry nose and a bright, mineral and brioche palate.
