Vermentino and Chardonnay
Crisp, aromatic, elegant with passionfruit, elderflower and citrus characteristics Chateau Musar was established in 1930 by Gaston Hochar at aged 20. Major Ronald Barton, of Château Langoa-Barton in Bordeaux, became friends with Gaston in 1941. This connection with Bordeaux is prominent in Musar's wines. Serge Hochar, Gaston's son who took over the winery, left the estate to his sons before passing away in 2014. The family connection is still very strong with each family member playing a vital role. These Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay vines planted since 2000 at around 1,000m above sea level in the Bekaa Valley. Musar Jeune White is fermented in cement-lined vats and released a year after the harvest.
