Pinot Noir

Dark cherry, light tannin and best served slightly cooler than room temperature

Dider is fouth generation winemaker to tend to his family's 6.5ha in Dézize-les-Maranges – West of Santenay, in the hills. Located 1,300m above sea level, the climate is cooler, the vines are more resistant to rot and the grapes ripen later than more Northern villages. Didier Regnaudot cultivates pre-WWII Pinot Noir vines grown on steep hillsides on clay, fossilised limestone soil. Manual harvesting takes place with concrete tank fermentation and a further 12 months oak ageing. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined. Fussieres comes from a 2.5 hectare plot on a premier cru vineyard from old vines, some dating back to 1930.
